Handle with Care

After having inserted photos in an envelope to be mailed, I wrote “Do not bend” on the parcel as a stern warning.  I boxed up some goods and sealed it, ready to take it to the post office — but not before writing “Do not crush” and “Handle with care” on the side with a Sharpie.  It is good that I do this, because any sucker knows that if you do not write such authoritative warnings, the Postal Service will in fact bend, fold and crush your parcels of mail.  They live for it.
